Who is Lawrence Lamptey (The Scientific Socialist

 Lawrence Lamptey: is a public spirited young man dedicated to the struggle for economic and political democracy, community development and progress.

As Communications officer of the Dade-Kotopon Constituency of the NDC, he directs his best efforts at re-enforcing the progressive tendencies of the party. A former Branch youth organizer, Cadres Secretary and a National Youth Coordinator of the Cadre Front. This has afforded him the lessons of political organization and practice.

Comrade Lamptey, a former student leader, is an activist of the Water Citizens Network, Stop the Bleeding Coalition, Coalition Against Foreign Intervention, Coalition Against GMO, the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign and the Movement of Youth for Development.

Graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Sociology in 2009, he now holds a Master’s Degree in Local Government Administration and Organization.

An indigene of La in Greater Accra Region, he is a noted contributor in efforts to safeguard the share of the youth in communal revenue, and their development.  The successes and challenges that come with this and his broad activist experience informs his decision to heed to the call of the youth to aspire for the office of Deputy National Youth Organizer of the NDC.

A grass root organizer, he has translated the views of ordinary people in authoring publications in national daily’s.  Worthy of note is, ‘Shaping the Distortions in History: Women’, ‘Arise Ghana Youth’, 'Politics, Law and Economics', etc.

The NDC in opposition needs some strong, fearless, and courageous persons to lead the party, especially at the youth front, in order to face the NPP squarely in their devilish schemes. The NDC is a party borne out of a Revolution and will not sit back for Nana to destroy Ghana; we will strike appropriately. We are coming with both conventional and non- conventional superior strategies to win election 2020.

Lawrence Lamptey presents himself as a very ready gorilla tactician and an organizer to steer the affairs of the youth, going into election 2020. He aspires to be the Deputy National Youth Organizer of the Great NDC in its quest for political victory. He is a progressive and a true Scientific Socialist with Karl Marx, Lenin, Trotsky, Nkrumah Che Guevara, Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro as his icons.

He is a team player, and he is currently with the Young Cadres and the Progressive Youth Forum as activist groups.
