COCOA FARMERS THREATENS TO DEMONSTRATE AGAINST GOVERNMENT

The Assembly member  for Sienchem electoral area in the Assin North municipality in Central Region who doubles as Amcofa President Hon. Theophilus Tamaklo has caution the government of Ghana to instigate cocoa farmers in the rural areas because farmers sited in the rural areas are facing so many challenges and is about hard time to let the government recognize that farmers play a key role in the nations economy but every developmental project are sites in the urban areas.

" farmers in the rural areas especially my electoral area like, Ntow krom, Assin swedru, Assin Adukrom they lack the basic social amenities, No electricity, No proper drinking water, deplorable roads and deplorable school buildings making life unbearable in the communities " he cried.

Moreover, he urged the government to continue all cocoa roads started by the previous government which has been suspended because cocoa roads construction has nothing to do with change of government. government should think about farmers welfare. our farm goods are spoiling   because of bad roads. Major commodity here is cocoa, so government should boost the youth else they will travel to the cities which will effect cocoa production in the country.

The residents also threatened to demonstrate against the government if nothing is done about their deployed school buildings, electricity meters and deployed roads.
" we voted for change, so therefore, change must come in our lives else 2020, No politician should come to our communities to campaign" they threatened.

Finally, Hon. Tamaklo appealed to the ministry of energy, ministry of local government ,ministry of education, Hon. Abena Druwaah Mensah Mp and Hon. Nicholas Kofi Baako MCE to come to their aid immediately to intervene because life has become unbearable in the communities.
